Marine possibilities of developing fuel from seaweed
£5million has been granted to Scottish and Irish scientists so they can research into the possibilities of developing fuel from seaweed.
The idea is that seaweed once decomposed produces gases and oil which could potentially be used as another source of energy.
The grant for £5million was forthcoming from the EU for the research into this new bio fuel.
With the development of this fuel come more jobs, green energy source capable of fueling cars and transport.
The project is due to start in early 2009 and if viable could be the new energy source we have been waiting for.
